Constellation of Life

There is a place far away
light years from earth
A serene passage
where death turns into birth...

...and the dark of the night
into the aurora of the morn
Unexplainable happenings
New stars are born

I gaze at the sun's corona
Our galaxy's nourishing sphere
A sight of miracles
A grand finale in solar flare

Reminiscent of your own Luna
A spirit in full phase
With powers of a black hole
and a Nebula's intangible haze

Your bodily existence faded
but never the shades of your essence
Now you are your own constellation
with it's stars and luminescence

I am a watcher of the stars
and each one is a part of you
When I am looking at the starry sky
it is your beauty I view

I know you will be waiting
by the Belt of Orion
Far beyond Heaven
An intergallactic Zion

If ever I go astray
in this dark and eternal night
It will lead my way
your aura, it's shimmering light

Life on earth
is a precious but fleeting loan
In the Milky Way
each star has perpetual life of it's own

When it is time for my nightfall
When I am going on this journey too
How magnificent,
to watch the stars along with you.

Devilish games

How your presence affects me
I lay bare, revealed and unprepared
As I stand here before you
An undressed soul, naked and scared

Scared of my own feelings
puzzled emotions swirling inside
Released from the fathomless bottom
I am conquered and can not hide

I am standing at this fatal edge
where love has died and will arise
Hypnotized by the depth in the abyss
As the mesmeric darkness in your eyes

I fall for all I have lost and forsaken
Falling so enchanted and free
No more limits, no more bounds
I offer to you the entire me

I may hit the absolute rock-bottom
My life is over as I surrender and fall
But ending with your arms around me
is the most beautiful death of them all.

I am seduced by this lethal attraction
Playing venturous games with my mind
I can shut my eyes to your beauty
but my soul is too aware to be blind

It is too late, there is no turning back
I am throwing myself off the shelf
I am doomed and cursed forever
I am in love with the devil himself.

The Great Blue

Freedom,
as it has never been felt before
Wander along the beaches
Walking an endless shore

The dark and eternal ocean
An object of my former fear
No waves can scare me now
Oh, how to dive and disappear

Deep down the Great blue
A seclusion in eternal bliss
The light above fading...
Slumber in God's abyss

This is my own Atlantis
Such beauty shall be shared
Let's walk along the arcades
Hush, don't be scared

There is so much to show you
I know the answer to the mystery
I have seen man-of-wars and caravels
I am a part of the history

This is my sanctuary
A no man's land in aquamarine
So far from your world
A dream in tangerine

And now you wish to go back
to an existence so mundane
But you will soon long too
You will dive again.

A Travel Within

I am a traveller
This journey will be my last
Returning to the roots
is dealing with my past

Looking out a window
Landscapes passing by
Sceneries long time gone
covered by a gloomy sky

I remember the past
The days of my youth
How I distorted the reality
and shut my eyes to the truth

When life was a struggle
I could not carry the day
I never faced the problems
I looked the other way

I prefered to ignore
I dismissed the intuition
Will I close another door
or learn from this recognition?

Have I ever reached out my hand
offering anything true?
Or was it only unfullfilled vows
and things I promised to do?

When I am long time gone
will anyone bow at my grave?
Or will the overgrowing weeds
represent what I never gave?

Yes, when life reaches the end
and I enter the eternal night
Can I in all conscience say
I lived a life and did it right?

I have seen many a wanderer
too proud to go back
Instead of reminisce what's by-gone
they're covering the track

Provinces disappear in the distance
as I am passing my life's stations
I am slowly finding myself
A travel within my foundations

I have been a traveller
For such a long time I did roam
I'll find myself beyond the horizon
I am finally coming home.

Thank you, truly.
En Garde gives me courage
The Great Blue I can barely wait to show a friend who longs so for the beach and ocean while she is here on flat dry land for school.
A Travel Within reminds me of my personal faith and the convictions I am raising to maturity.
And what laid me most bare was Devilish Games, these are my chains, I too am enslaved to what should be forsaken.
Today has been a phenominal day I am so thankful that your words came my way today.
Thank you, Truly.

I have only, at this time, had the opportunity to read Little Boy. Though I will come back to read the rest, I felt that I must respond now to this moving and well-crafted poem. I am both saddened and lifted up by it.

Thank you for your poems. I especially like Constellation of Life, Devilish Games and The Great Blue - the lines 'A seclusion in eternal bliss' and 'a no man's land in aquamarine' giving that deep underwater silence and blue peace feeling.

Simply lovely material, Eva-Lena, and I, too, am a fan of rhyming poetry. You should feel proud to have mastered this medium so well. Thank you!

Why thank you, dear Judy, for such an uplifting comment. It means so much to me to hear what people think and you truly give me inspiration to write even more. Thank you!

Thank you, dear Sue, for reading my poems. "Constellation of life" is one of my latest poems and took me some research to create because of all the astronomical terms. As you can see I am very fond of metaphors, I think I have not written one single poem without it. I am glad you enjoyed this one especially much :)

Thank you, dear Molly, for your lovely response to my work. Yes, I always write with rhymes and metaphors, that is kind of my niche :) And to tell you the truth, it is even hard for me to pick a favorite of my poems cause each one of them are written by a certain reason. They all have a special place in my heart :) Ps. Also a great thank you for visiting my site and for leaving a very beautiful comment in my guestbook!

Sincerely,

Eve

Your poetry is breathtaking. It is so difficult to find truly good poetry and yours is even better than that!
