This does not bring him the comfort he seeks. Will he find it in the arms of an attractive young student who has also suffered a terrible loss?

And Then The World Intruded
William Berry

Feral cats. Feral humans. And not enough rodents to go around. These are Momma's major problems in caring for her young. Imagine her surprise when she finds a young woman with a baby who appears equally in need. Will the old man who's befriended her also befriend her new human friend? This story is ostensibly about cats, but it paints a very human, memorable picture.
