Collaboration

work with sun, moon
earth, the good long days
peel, pull seeds
hum quietly
a nameless melody
drawn, though half forgotten,
from memory as is this recipe
cinnamon red sharp
nutmeg brown sultry
sugar white as snows to come
eggs golden globe
milk splashes creamy sounds
daylight slants across the table
warms my hands,
as they shape dough
for pumpkin pie.
